As usual in the month of December, at FNG Fornes Logistics we bid farewell to the year by reviewing and reflecting on some of the most memorable moments of the year.
To be better
We started 2023 with our batteries charged and our mindset set on continuing to improve, with internal training to keep us up to date and welcoming a student on an internship in our Barcelona office to develop his final thesis, the premise of which was to evaluate the fleet and its possibilities for transformation towards a more sustainable option.
In this effort to evolve towards a more environmentally friendly company, in 2023 we obtained iso14001 certification, which helps us to work towards adopting more sustainable practices and seek ways to reduce the environmental impact of our activity.
In addition, measures such as the installation of solar panels on the roof of the buildings, the change to LED lighting and the installation of movement sensors have been carried out in order to reduce electricity consumption and contribute to the responsible use of this resource.
To keep growing
With a view to continuing to offer the best service to our customers and strengthening our position in the market, this year we have launched a new regular round-trip groupage service between Barcelona and Valencia, with collection and delivery within 24 hours.
In addition, this year we have joined the business organisation of freight forwarders, logistics operators and customs representatives in Barcelona, the Association of International Freight Forwarders of Barcelona (ATEIA-OLTRA).
To remain at your side
Faced with the situation of uncertainty, mainly geopolitical, that we have faced this year 2023, in FNG Fornes Logistics we have made our equipment and resources available to society when necessary, highlighting the shipment of a solidarity container of material and food to Syria, collected in a campaign of the association Inca Solidaria, after the devastating earthquakes that occurred in the country in February.
As usual, we have also maintained a continuous collaboration throughout the year with the Food Bank of Mallorca to respond to the transport needs that volunteers cannot cover, ensuring the supply of their warehouses and the coverage of the basic needs of Mallorcan families in vulnerable situations.
Finally, FNG Fornes Logistics continues to support sports clubs and initiatives that reflect and share the values of effort and teamwork, including Mallorca Palma Futsal, with whom we do not stop celebrating titles, the Palma Marathon Mallorca, where we are logistics partners, the FNG San Silvestre Palma or the Rudy Fernández Basketball Campus, focused on children.
Without a doubt, 2023 has been a year full of activity and growth at FNG Fornes Logistics. And we are already looking forward to what 2024 has in store for us.
